Why should you get connected in Life Groups and Discipleship Groups?
God's design is for us to be in community with others.
He never meant for people to live life alone or to only hang out with your own family all the time.
We need groups to be a part of for Friendship, Encouragement, people to Help Carry the Burdens of Life, Look out for Each Other, Hold each other Accountable, and many other reasons!

In Life Groups, you are encouraged to participate, but you will never be asked to read out loud or say a prayer. The most important thing at first is to just get to know people, and we frequently will just hang out and have a meal together in order to get to know people.
One of the things people really appreciate about Life Groups is they get a chance for discussion. During a church service, the message (or lesson) is usually one-sided, with the pastor doing most of the talking. In Life Groups, we get an opportunity to discuss and ask questions.
Another factor that is great about groups is that you get a chance to really hang out with people on a deeper level. During the church service, there is a little bit of time before the service and after the service, but the conversation can be limited to, "How are you doing?" "Good, how are you?" "I am doing well. Crazy weather, huh?"
In Life Groups, you get to share stories with people from Reynoldsburg, Pickerington, and Columbus, check in on each other, find out what you can be praying for each other about, etc.
Our usual flow for Life Groups looks like this:
1) Having a meal together
2) Pairing up and sharing Highs and Lows from the week. (Checking in on each other.)
3) Discussion Questions that help us get to know people in the group better
4) Discussion Questions related to the Morning Message
5) A Bible study related to the same topic as the Morning Message
6) Prayer Circle (each can say a short prayer or they can pass to the next person)
Life Groups vs. D Groups
Life Groups are mixed company - men and women, Christians or seekers.
D Groups are only for those who have made the decision to follow Jesus, men with men, women with women, and maxed out at 5 people (3 to 5 people is the format).
One of the main ways Jesus discipled (trained) people was in groups.
D Groups are a great way to 1) develop good habits and 2) get rid of bad habits.
Most Christians struggle to get into the good habit of daily time with God in the Bible and prayer.
A lot of people struggle with a persistent sin or habit that they would like to get rid of, but they don't have the way to do this.
Accountability is the key to both!
D Groups have a much higher level of accountability built in, which can be really helpful when trying to make changes in your life.
Our current form of D Groups were developed by a man named Robby Gallaty, who has pastored several churches and implemented these D Groups.
In every church, including the large church he pastors near Nashville, TN, D Groups have proven to be a great way to raise up healthy disciples of Jesus.
The format for D Groups is: 1) Sharing Highs and Lows of your Week and praying for each other 2) Sharing what you discovered in your 5 days of Bible study 3) Accountability Questions (we practice loving accountability, not scolding each other).
Many have been able to break through and finally get into a habit of daily devotional time with God through these D Groups.
Many have found freedom or at least great improvement in areas of struggle through D Groups.
We do not have a "dress code" except that you do wear clothes!
Tattoos welcome.
Our goal at Impact Church Reynoldsburg is to create an environment where people are comfortable learning about Jesus, and we don't want anything like dress codes and church traditions to get in the way of that!
If you are looking for a non-denominational church service, a casual atmosphere, great music and a relevant message, we have the church for you!
LIFE GROUP THURSDAYS PM
There is a place for you here. You’ll find Life Groups are an easy place to belong and meet lifelong friends!
MENS D GROUP TUESDAYS PM
Men's Discipleship Groups are a great way to learn how to get into the Bible and get meat out for yourself. We provide a very simple Bible reading method, and then we review what God showed us in His word each week.
Loving accountability helps us stay on God's path in some key areas.
LADIES D GROUP TUES PM
The Ladies Meet each Wednesday and share how their week was (highs and lows), review what they learned in their personal Bible study throughout the week, and ask accountability questions to grow in their walk with God!
WHERE DO WE MEET?
We are currently meeting at the Rolen Road Church of Christ.
Watch this video to see one of the reasons why we started Impact Church Reynoldsburg, and why we try so hard to create a "Come as You Are" culture
